The government is reviewing proposals to widen the scope of the Anti-Bullying Tribunal Bill to include all age groups, not just those under 18. Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said feedback from Anti-Bullying Town Hall sessions and the Institutional Reform Map (PetaRI) portal highlighted bullying cases in higher education, police, and military colleges. Expanding the Bill would involve multiple ministries and institutions, reflecting the broader prevalence of bullying beyond schools. The move aims to create a more comprehensive legal framework to address bullying across various educational and institutional settings.
