KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia’s banking sector has stepped up to support flood-hit communities in Sabah, rolling out a range of financial relief measures. The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) and the Association of Islamic Banking and Financial Institutions Malaysia (AIBIM) announced that member banks are offering loan deferments, rescheduling and restructuring options, fee waivers, special recovery financing packages, and free replacements for lost bank documents and cards. The initiative aims to ease the burden on individuals and businesses as they recover from the devastating floods.
