KUALA LUMPUR — Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin has described the upcoming 17th state election as the party’s “final battle” to retake control of the state government for Barisan Nasional (BN). Speaking to Berita Harian, Bung urged party members to rally for a decisive comeback, arguing that unlike smaller personality-driven parties such as Warisan, STAR, and PGRS, Umno’s enduring strength lies in its institutional resilience and ability to weather leadership changes. He called on members to move beyond the opposition role and seize the opportunity to lead again.
