KUALA LUMPUR — Flood and landslide conditions in Sabah are showing signs of improvement, with evacuee numbers dropping to 1,476 people from 459 families, down from 2,256 yesterday. The Sabah State Disaster Management Committee confirmed that all victims in Beaufort and Sipitang have returned home, while relief efforts continue in Penampang, Papar, and Membakut. Thirteen temporary relief centres remain open, mostly in Membakut and Penampang. The number of affected villages has also fallen from 120 to 53, indicating a steady recovery as floodwaters recede and cleanup operations continue.
