Legendary Telugu screenwriter *Akella Venkata Suryanarayana* passed away on Thursday night at his Hyderabad residence, aged 75. With a prolific career spanning over 70 films, Suryanarayana made his debut with the 1983 Chiranjeevi starrer Magamaharaju and went on to pen classics like Swathi Muthyam and Sirivennela. A recipient of *13 Nandi Awards, he began his journey in the arts as a school-stage actor and magazine writer before entering cinema. His filmography includes *Shrutilayalu, Chilakapacha Kapuram, Nagadevata, and many more. He also directed the 1992 comedy Ayyayyo Brahmayya, showcasing his versatility in the industry.
