KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 — Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd (Rapid Bus), the operator of the Rapid KL On-Demand van service in the Klang Valley, will enhance its service through the integration of booking applications and the expansion of service zones beginning this November.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Ku Jamil Zakaria said the company will consolidate its three existing booking apps — Mobi, Trek Rides and Kummute — into a single integrated app, Rapid On-Demand, to simplify the booking process and improve user experience.

“This integration will be carried out in phases, starting with zones currently using the Mobi and Trek Rides apps (Phase 1) on November 1, 2025, followed by zones using the Kummute app (Phase 2) in mid-November 2025.

“With this integration, users will only need one app to make Rapid On-Demand bookings across all Rapid KL-operated zones, making travel simpler, faster and more user-friendly,” he said in a statement today.

Ku Jamil added that the expansion of service zones will be implemented in stages to improve connectivity and make it easier for passengers to reach various destinations without changing services.

“Previously, users had to download and use different apps depending on the zone, which could cause confusion. With a single app, the booking process becomes simpler, faster and more consistent across all coverage areas,” he said.

The new zones will involve 50 vans and include routes such as Metro Prima Station–Kepong Botanic Gardens (FRIM), Serdang Raya Selatan Station–Taman Bukit Serdang, and Semantan Station–Menara DBKL–Semantan Station–KTM Segambut.

He said the merging of these zones aims to expand service coverage and strengthen connectivity between key areas.

Ku Jamil added that this move ensures users can travel to more destinations more easily without switching services, making public transport a more efficient and user-friendly option.

The Rapid On-Demand app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, while existing users are advised to switch to the new app before 1 November to ensure uninterrupted access to services.

Further information on coverage zones and user guides can be found on Rapid KL’s official website www.myrapid.com.my or its official social media channels.
