KUALA LUMPUR — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued an alert-level warning of continuous rain for Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and Perak until tomorrow.
In a statement posted on its Facebook page today, MetMalaysia has also issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds, expected to affect Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, as well as parts of Sabah and Sarawak, until 7pm today.
Affected areas are Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, and Dungun in Terengganu; Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, and Temerloh in Pahang; as well as Jelebu, Seremban, and Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan.
In Sarawak, the affected areas include Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sibu (Kanowit and Selangau), Mukah, Bintulu, Miri, and Limbang. In Sabah, the warning covers the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Nabawan, Keningau, and Tambunan), the West Coast (Ranau and Kota Belud), as well as Tawau, Sandakan, and Kudat.
