The political party Bersatu is facing a major internal crisis as multiple key divisions have announced their dissolution following the high-profile expulsion of former leaders. The Lembah Pantai and Larut divisions were among the first to disband with immediate effect, citing a total loss of confidence in the party's current top leadership. This wave of resignations was triggered by a "reset" solidarity program attended by disgruntled members after the sacking of former Deputy President Hamzah Zainudin.

Adding to the party's woes, high-ranking members Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah and Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan have both officially withdrawn their appeals against their dismissals from the party. Wan Saiful notably stated that he believes Bersatu "has no future" under its current direction. Analysts suggest that these departures could lead to a further exodus of members in states like Selangor, Perak, and Sabah, potentially weakening the opposition's foothold ahead of upcoming polls.

In response to the turmoil, Bersatu Information Chief Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz has dismissed calls for party president Muhyiddin Yassin to step down. Instead, he redirected the blame toward Hamzah Zainudin, accusing him of failing to deliver results in the recent Sabah state elections and failing to maintain party discipline among his supporters. This public infighting highlights a deep rift within the party's core as it struggles to maintain unity amidst these systemic exits.
