Malaysia's top men's singles shuttler, Lee Zii Jia, has presented several conditions to the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) regarding his potential participation in the Thomas Cup squad this April. BAM's performance committee chairman, Lee Chong Wei, confirmed that the 27-year-old has requested a week to finalize his decision, with a formal announcement expected by this coming Friday. 

In the women's division, coach Nova Armada has officially drawn the line on Goh Jin Wei's professional trajectory, ordering her to cease mixed doubles experiments. The decision aims to preserve her energy for her primary discipline, women's singles, as she prepares to lead the national team at the Uber Cup Finals in Horsens, Denmark, starting 24 April 2026. 

On the European circuit, men's doubles pair Choong Hon Jian and Mohd Haikal Nazri are preparing for a difficult opening match at the German Open tomorrow against world No. 3 Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang. Haikal noted that they are focused on overcoming a string of early-round exits while managing minor injury concerns.
