National women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah have been set a high-performance target for the upcoming All England Championships. Coach Rosman Razak has intensified their training, focusing 70% on physical fitness to ensure they have the endurance to compete with top-tier Japanese and Chinese pairs. Their campaign is a key priority for the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) as the team looks to secure a major title in the 2026 season.

In men’s singles, Lee Zii Jia has officially confirmed he will join the Thomas Cup squad, prioritising national duty over previous negotiation terms. This boost comes as other members of the national team, including Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, are currently competing in the German Open, where they secured a solid opening victory against a Danish pair. However, the team faces a setback with Man Wei Chong withdrawing from the German tournament due to a persistent knee injury.
