A string of traffic accidents during the Friday morning rush hour has left thousands of commuters stranded, with the most severe disruption occurring on the PLUS Expressway. A collision involving two lorries at KM450.9 has paralyzed traffic from Rawang towards the Sungai Buloh Hospital, resulting in a massive one-hour delay. As of mid-morning, the left, middle, and emergency lanes remain completely blocked, with recovery teams working to clear the heavy wreckage and any potential fuel spills.

The congestion has spread to other major urban arteries, including the Kajang SILK Highway and the MRR2. A motorcycle accident near De Centrum has caused a 20-minute bottleneck for those traveling from Sungai Ramal to UNITEN, while a separate incident near Zoo Negara has triggered similar delays for commuters heading from Taman Hillview. Traffic police are on-site at both locations to manage the flow, but motorists are being advised to seek alternative routes or delay their travels where possible to avoid the mounting tailbacks.

In the northern region, the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Highway in Penang is experiencing significant gridlock following an accident near the Tropicana Bay Residences. The impact has caused a major crawl for vehicles heading towards Bayan Lepas, with the congestion stretching back as far as Jelutong. Local authorities are urging drivers to remain patient and exercise caution, especially as the high volume of traffic continues to build ahead of the weekend.
