In the other quarter final clash, Atlético Madrid successfully defended their aggregate lead against Barcelona despite a 2-1 loss in the second leg at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. Barcelona mounted an early charge with goals from Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres, but a 30th-minute strike from Ademola Lookman proved enough for Atlético to advance 3-2 on aggregate. The match saw late drama as Barcelona's Eric García was sent off in the 79th minute, effectively ending their comeback hopes. 

The Champions League continues tonight, April 15, with the remaining quarter final spots to be decided as Arsenal hosts Sporting CP and Bayern Munich faces Real Madrid. Both home teams currently hold slight leads from their first legs, with Arsenal up 1-0 and Bayern leading 2-1.
