Priyansh Arya was the star of the show, smashing 93 runs off just 37 balls, including nine massive sixes, while Cooper Connolly added 87 runs to dismantle the Lucknow bowling attack. Despite a spirited 43 from Rishabh Pant, the Super Giants fell 54 runs short, finishing on 200/5 and slumping to their third consecutive defeat. 

Earlier in the day, the Kolkata Knight Riders secured their first win of the season in a low-scoring thriller against the Rajasthan Royals at Eden Gardens. Chasing a modest target of 156, KKR struggled early but were guided home by Rinku Singh’s unbeaten 53. The Royals' collapse was triggered by Varun Chakaravarthy, whose 3/14 earned him the Player of the Match award. The double header on Sunday has significantly shaken up the points table, leaving the Mumbai Indians and KKR at the bottom while Punjab remains unbeaten. 

Looking ahead, the focus shifts to the blockbuster clash between the Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans scheduled for tonight. Mumbai is desperate to secure its first points of the campaign to avoid falling further behind in the top-four race.
