An unexpected collaboration between pop sensation Billie Eilish and legendary filmmaker James Cameron was unveiled today at CinemaCon. The duo has co-directed Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), which is set for a theatrical release on May 8. Shot primarily during the Manchester leg of her world tour, the film promises an immersive 3D experience that blends hit-packed performances with intimate, reflective off-stage moments. 

The project was revealed during the Paramount Pictures presentation, surprising the industry with the pairing of the 24-year-old multi-Grammy winner and the 71-year-old director behind Avatar and Titanic. According to reporting from Malay Mail, Eilish described the film as a way to bring fans closer to the energy of her live shows through Cameron's pioneering 3D technology. 

The film will likely see a limited release in Malaysia across major IMAX and 3D-enabled screens. This follows a growing trend of "Concert at the Cinema" events, which have proven highly popular with local fans of global music icons.
