Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) maintained their relentless form in the 2025-26 Malaysia Super League with a crushing 7-0 victory over Kuala Lumpur City F.C. at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium. The defending champions showed no mercy, dominating possession and clinical finishing to further extend their lead at the top of the standings. This win brings JDT's record to 21 wins out of 22 matches this season, leaving them nearly untouchable as they march toward another potential title. 

Other weekend fixtures saw Selangor FC secure a solid 4-0 win against Penang F.C., keeping them in a strong position for a top-three finish. Sabah F.C. also delivered a commanding performance, defeating PDRM FC 5-1, while Kuching City F.C. edged out Terengganu FC with a 2-1 scoreline. These results have intensified the battle for the runner-up spot, with Kuching City and Selangor currently separated by only a narrow margin in the points table. 

As the league enters its final two gameweeks, the focus shifts to the relegation battle and the fight for AFC qualification spots. Negeri Sembilan FC and Melaka F.C. played out a 0-0 draw, a result that does little to help either side pull away from the bottom of the table. The next round of matches is scheduled to begin on May 8, featuring key matchups like Terengganu vs. Immigration F.C. as teams look to secure their final positions for the season.
