A man believed to be in his 30s was killed early this morning, May 13, 2026, after he was struck by a vehicle and flung into a deep roadside ditch along Jalan Kapar, Batu 5, in Klang. The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call regarding the fatal incident at 3:23 AM. A team of seven emergency officers and personnel from the nearby Kapar fire station was immediately dispatched, arriving at the scene just five minutes later. 

Upon arrival, rescue teams located the unconscious victim lying inside a two metre deep drain running alongside the main road. Firefighters carefully extricated the man from the ditch using a specialized medical stretcher to bring him back to street level. Medical personnel from the Ministry of Health arrived shortly after but officially pronounced the victim dead at the scene due to severe impact injuries. 

The identity of the pedestrian and the specific details regarding the vehicle involved in the collision have not yet been disclosed by local authorities. Police are currently gathering evidence and reviewing surrounding surveillance footage to trace the driver and understand the exact cause of the crash. The case is expected to be investigated under traffic laws related to reckless or dangerous driving causing death.
