The Bureau of the Royal Household in Thailand has issued a grim update regarding the health of 47 year old Princess Bajrakitiyabha, stating her medical condition has drastically deteriorated. According to the palace's seventh official statement, doctors recently detected a severe abdominal infection stemming from inflammation of the large intestine. This complication has quickly spread across multiple major organ systems, resulting in an uncontrolled infection that medical teams are currently struggling to contain.

The severe internal inflammation has triggered a cascade of critical health complications, causing the princess's blood pressure to fall dangerously low and her heart rate to become highly irregular. Physicians at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital are administering several aggressive combinations of antibiotics and specialized medications to regulate her heart rhythm and boost blood pressure. Additionally, intensive life support devices have been deployed to sustain her failing lung and kidney functions.

The eldest daughter of King Maha Vajiralongkorn has been hospitalized and in a continuous coma since December 15, 2022, after originally collapsing from a sudden heart condition. Prior to her sudden illness, she maintained a decorated career as a senior general, diplomat, and international advocate for women's rights. The royal medical team remains in constant attendance, closely monitoring her vital signs as they try to stabilize her deeply fragile condition.
