An excerpt from CE's review of the film reads, "Nevertheless, Gatta Kusthi 2 does a lot of things right, especially with the character of Mathi, who talks and behaves like a first-standard girl. She isn’t asked to act much beyond her years, and it is a welcome relief."
With positive momentum heading into Sunday, Gatta Kusthi 2 will be aiming to sustain its weekend run and post a healthy opening weekend total at the box office.
