Earlier this week, OnePlus revealed plans for an upcoming event. On July 16, 2024, in Milan, Italy, they will host a global launch where they will unveil the Nord 4, Buds3 Pro, and Watch2R. Additionally, OnePlus has teased the introduction of a new tablet at the event.

According to a recent update in their community post, OnePlus is set to introduce the OnePlus Pad 2 at the event on July 16. This follows closely on the heels of the OnePlus Pad Pro, their flagship model launched on June 30, 2024, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. While no further details have been confirmed, it's reasonable to infer that the OnePlus Pad 2 will serve as a direct successor to the original OnePlus Pad.

As a point of comparison, the OnePlus Pad from last year is a mid-range tablet designed as a flagship with the Dimensity 9000 chipset. It boasts specifications such as up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 9510mAh battery. The tablet features an 11.61-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2800x1200 and a 144Hz refresh rate. It also includes four speakers enhanced with Omnibearing Sound Field technology and integrates smart AI functionalities.
