Xiaomi plans to launch its flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro, in October this year. These models are expected to be the first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset worldwide. Recent leaks on Weibo, via GizmoChina, have already revealed detailed specifications of both phones ahead of their official release.
The leak reveals that the Xiaomi 15 will feature a 6.36-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution, while the Xiaomi 15 Pro will come with a 6.73-inch OLED display with micro-curves on all sides and support for 2K resolution. Both screens will offer a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach up to 1400 nits brightness in high brightness mode (HBM).
Additionally, the smartphones featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will include LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The standard model is expected to house a 4,800mAh or 4,900mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. In contrast, the Pro variant will feature a larger 5,400mAh battery supporting 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.
Both models will sport a 32MP front-facing camera. The standard version will boast dual 50MP sensors for its main and ultra-wide cameras, along with a 50MP telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom. Meanwhile, the Pro model will feature a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Both devices will be IP68-rated for water and dust resistance, support 5.5G connectivity, feature dual speakers, and include an IR blaster.
Further specifications and the release date for Malaysia are yet to be confirmed, so we await more information from Xiaomi.
