Due to the temporary shutdown of four water treatment plants, Air Selangor announced unscheduled water disruptions affecting over 1,100 areas in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor

Yesterday, 23 July, the water service provider announced that due to an odor pollution incident at Sungai Kundang and Sungai Sembah, it was forced to cut the water supply.

Consequently, water cuts will affect 280 areas in Petaling, 107 in Klang, 60 in Shah Alam, 175 in Gombak, 165 in Kuala Lumpur, and 325 in Hulu Selangor

"Air Selangor is working hard to reduce the impact on consumers. Water tankers have been mobilized to the affected areas, prioritizing critical premises. Every effort is being made to minimize the disruption for affected users."

Air Selangor announced that it will provide updates periodically via various platforms, including its app, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
