Have you ever been late to work due to public transport disruptions and faced consequences at your office? For regular train commuters, this issue can significantly impact their work performance and mood.

Many are unaware that a notice from Rapid KL can serve as proof of delays caused by train operations issues, which can be presented to employers. This was confirmed by Nor Azmi Yusof, Chief Operating Officer of LRT Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd (Rapid Rail). He explained that Rapid Rail provides delay notices for passengers affected by train service disruptions.

“The delay notice is available for all our lines,” Nor Azmi said. “If there is a disruption or delay that may affect passengers, we issue notices to inform them. These notices are provided upon request and are not automatically issued for every issue. If we identify a disruption, we post notices on social media, and if the disruption lasts over 15 minutes, we issue a media statement.”

This notice applies to all five main lines: the Ampang/Sri Petaling LRT line, the Kelana Jaya LRT line, the KL Monorail line, the Sungai Buloh-Kajang MRT line, and the Putrajaya MRT line.

Most companies receive these notices through social media or media statements, but some may require more specific information. Affected users can request detailed notices at Rapid Rail station counters. When a request is made, the operation team will verify the disruption with the control center and include all relevant details in the notice.
