Six Men Plead Not Guilty in Senai Brawl Over Miri Airport Seating*

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 — Six men pleaded not guilty in Kulai Magistrate's Court yesterday to charges of injuring 33-year-old Ng Kim Hoe during a brawl near Senai International Airport on October 7. The group is accused of assaulting Ng with a rattan stick, with the incident linked to a seating dispute at Miri Airport earlier that day.

The men—Justin Ngu Zhing Xin, 28; Lau Tzy Teck, 36; Wai Kar Chung, 32; Liaw Kok Beng, 34; Yee Vui Ming, 40; and Teh Yeung Tatt, 28—face charges under Section 324 of the Penal Code, which carries penalties of up to 10 years' imprisonment, a fine, or caning.

Bail was set at RM7,000 for each defendant, with a hearing scheduled for November 7. Police had arrested the suspects following a viral video of the incident, which began with a heated argument over seating in the Miri Airport departure area.
