Kamal Haasan has made a significant decision regarding the release of "Indian 3," directed by the acclaimed Shankar. Following the release of "Indian 2" last July, which faced numerous delays and ultimately received negative reviews, expectations for a quick follow-up to Part 3 have shifted.
Despite much of "Indian 3" being filmed during the production of "Indian 2," the disappointing performance of the latter has led Kamal to decide that "Indian 3" will only be released after he has a hit film under his belt. This means a delay in its release, which is now likely to head straight to OTT.
"Indian 3" tells the story of Senadhipathi's father, Veerasekaran, exploring how the British exploited India before independence and highlighting issues of women's rights and protests against oppression. Currently, Kamal is working on "Thug Life," directed by Mani Ratnam, which also features Simbu in a significant role. The release of "Thug Life" is highly anticipated, and once it hits theaters, "Indian 3" is expected to follow.
