GEORGE TOWN, Oct 22* — A 26-year-old Myanmar worker tragically fell to his death from the eighth floor of a construction site in Bayan Lepas while exiting a gondola. The incident occurred at 8:30 am as he attempted to jump from the gondola to a window.
Initial investigations by the Penang Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) revealed he suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Following the incident, DOSH issued a stop-work notice, prohibiting the use of gondolas for high-rise tasks until the investigation is completed.
