STR 49 Update: Aswath Marimuthu Directs Simbu's Latest Film*

Simbu, a leading figure in Tamil cinema, is set to star in the upcoming film STR 49, directed by Aswath Marimuthu, known for his blockbuster Oh My God. Meanwhile, Simbu is also involved in Thak Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, alongside stars like Kamal Haasan and Trisha, with music by A.R. Rahman. Thak Life has completed filming and is expected to release next Pongal.

In addition to STR 49, Simbu has another project, SDR 48, a historical film directed by Desingu Periyasamy and produced by Kamal Haasan's Rajkamal Films. 

Excitingly, STR 49 promises to showcase "vintage Simbu," which fans are eagerly anticipating. Notably, Simbu is rumored to be teaming up with Anirudh for the film's music, breaking from his usual collaborator Yuvan Shankar Raja, especially after the buzz surrounding their previous collaboration, the controversial Beep Song.
