SHAH ALAM, Oct 25 — Firefighters successfully rescued three family members, including an eight-year-old girl, trapped in a blaze on the second floor of an apartment in Taman Sentosa, Klang, early today.
The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 2:58 AM, promptly dispatching 15 personnel from the Andalas station, along with two fire engines and two Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicles.
Upon arrival, they found the family trapped in a room, suffering from minor breathing difficulties due to smoke inhalation. After the fire was fully extinguished, the victims received initial care from EMRS before being transferred to the Ministry of Health for further assistance.
The fire caused damage to about 20% of the apartment, but the cause is still under investigation.
