Youth and Sports Ministry Allocates RM1M to Develop Talent in Weightlifting, Archery, Taekwondo, and Shooting*
The Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) will invest nearly RM1 million in each of these four Olympic sports to nurture new talent starting next year. Minister Hannah Yeoh emphasized the need for talent development, as these sports have yet to contribute Olympic medals for Malaysia. Additionally, efforts will be made to scout new talent in cycling and diving, with a focus on ensuring a strong future for female divers. Talent scouting for para-athletes, particularly in athletics and cycling, was also discussed.
