A.R. Rahman Divorce: Saira Banu’s Lawyer Gives Update, Fans Hope for Reconciliation*

A.R. Rahman and his wife Saira Banu shocked fans by announcing their divorce, with Saira's lawyer, Vandana Shah, addressing the matter publicly. In an interview, Vandana clarified that the couple has yet to decide on custody arrangements for their children, who are old enough to choose where they want to stay. 

When asked about a financial settlement, Vandana emphasized that money is not a priority for Saira Banu. She also suggested that while divorce proceedings are ongoing, there's still hope for a peaceful reconciliation between the couple, which has sparked optimism among fans.

After 29 years of marriage, the news of their split stunned fans, as many believed the term "divorce" was not part of Rahman's vocabulary. However, supporters are still hoping the couple may reunite for the sake of their three children.

Saira Banu, who is currently in Mumbai for medical treatment, plans to return to Chennai soon. Meanwhile, rumors about Rahman being romantically involved with Mohini Dey, a member of his band, were quickly dispelled by Rahman, who posted a video on Instagram stating that Mohini is like a daughter to him.
