PM Anwar Announces RM50 Million for Penang's Silicon Design Initiative
GEORGE TOWN, Dec 7 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has approved RM50 million for the Penang Silicon Design @5km+ initiative, aimed at driving economic growth through the state's integrated circuit (IC) design sector. Anwar, also the finance minister, revealed the funding during the launch of the GBS TechSpace, which will serve as the Silicon Research and Incubation Space, a key part of the initiative.
