KUALA LUMPUR — Federal Territories Minister Dr. Zaliha Mustafa has urged public cooperation to address the issue of photo touts near KLCC.

Despite being barred from operating inside the mall, the touts remain active nearby. Authorities, including the police, have conducted operations following complaints of coercion, but Dr. Zaliha emphasized that the public must help by avoiding these services and reporting any discomforting encounters to the police.

She highlighted that without buyers, these touts would have no incentive to operate. A joint effort between enforcement agencies and the public is key to resolving the issue effectively.

The touts, often East Malaysians seeking extra income, have caused disputes due to fierce competition, prompting KLCC management to prohibit them from working within the mall and its park.
