KUALA LUMPUR — Bukit Aman’s Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS) is investigating claims that a policeman made lewd gestures towards a woman during a human rights protest on Friday.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain urged the woman to file an official report to assist in the probe. He also encouraged others who may have faced similar incidents to come forward.
Razarudin assured the investigation would be thorough and transparent. The allegations surfaced after the woman shared a viral social media post claiming the officer repeatedly made inappropriate gestures while photographing her at the protest.
