KUCHING — The Magistrates’ Court fined Lu Jin Peng RM3,000, or six months in jail, for damaging his father’s massage machine while under the influence of drugs.

Magistrate Syarifah Fatimah Azura Wan Ali handed down the fine after Lu, 32, admitted to the charge under Section 427 of the Penal Code, which carries a penalty of one year to five years in prison, a fine, or both.

The incident occurred at their home in Mile 4, Jalan Penrissen on December 11. Lu’s father found the house in disarray and his massage machine broken on the floor. Fearing further aggression, the father lodged a police report, leading to Lu’s arrest the following day.

The estimated damage cost was RM600, with this being a recurring issue when Lu was using drugs.
