A 39-year-old man was arrested in Johor Bahru on January 16 for driving recklessly under the influence of drugs, causing a collision with three other vehicles on Jalan Bertam 2/3 Taman Daya. The man, driving a red Honda Accord, was spotted by police on Jalan Austin Perdana 3 at 11:40 am. When officers signaled him to stop, he attempted to flee, driving erratically for about four kilometres before causing the crash. One driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at a clinic, while the others, including the suspect, were unharmed. Police later found 12.99g of syabu, 13.59g of heroin, and other drugs in the man’s possession. He tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine and has 16 prior criminal and drug-related offenses. The case is under investigation.
