KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor will be looking to end their 10-year trophy drought when they take on Police in the second leg of the Challenge Cup final at MBPJ Stadium tomorrow.

The Red Giants hold a narrow 3-2 advantage from the first leg, a match where they played with 10 men for most of the game after captain Safuwan Baharudin was sent off early.

However, head coach Katsuhito Kinoshi knows they cannot afford to be complacent.

"Safuwan is suspended, but the rest of the squad is fully fit.

"We played well in the first leg, and hopefully, this time, we can keep all 11 players on the pitch. Our main target is to win," said Kinoshi.

Kinoshi is wary of Police's counterattacks and is prepared to make adjustments.

He also confirmed that Finnish midfielder Nooa Laine will take over the captain's armband in Safuwan's absence.

"Nooa will be captain, but leadership must come from the whole team. Everyone must take responsibility on and off the pitch," said Kinoshi.

Laine, who will lead the team for the first time, believes they must continue to attack despite having the lead.
