KUALA LUMPUR: New talent development in Malaysian men's diving is on track but there is catching up to do on the women's side, says newly appointed national diving technical director Yeoh Ken Nee.
Ken Nee said he was pleased to see Nurqayyum Nazmi Nazim, 19, claiming bronze at the Rio World Junior Championships last year, which ended Malaysia's 18-year wait for a medal at the world meet.
Ken Nee believes there are a number of unpolished gems in the national men's backup squad.
"I'm satisfied with the performance of our (men's) juniors," said Ken Nee recently.
