Police have clarified that the owner of the Nissan Navara seen sideswiping a motorcycle in a viral video near the Duta toll plaza was not the driver at the time. Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa stated that the investigation paper will soon be submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor. The Saturday incident left a 53-year-old rider and a 49-year-old pillion injured, with the woman remaining unconscious in the ICU at Hospital Sungai Buloh. The pickup truck driver, who filed a police report and was arrested, is being investigated for reckless driving under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act, which carries penalties of up to five years' imprisonment, a RM15,000 fine, and a driving ban of at least two years. The truck owner has appealed to the public not to share his personal information as he was not driving.
