TELUK INTAN — A tragic collision between a Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) truck and a lorry carrying stones on Jalan Chikus–Sungai Lampam claimed eight lives and left three critically injured this morning. Hilir Perak police confirmed the fatalities, while seven others sustained injuries. The Perak Fire and Rescue Department, alerted at 8:54 a.m., dispatched a team from Teluk Intan to the scene, located about 8 km away. Two victims were trapped inside the FRU truck as rescue efforts continued. A full media statement is expected.
