Datuk Dominic Dago Randan, the first Bidayuh member of parliament, passed away today at his home in Serian at the age of 90. A respected former teacher, temenggong, and lawmaker, Dominic was appointed to the Dewan Rakyat in 1965 and later contested the Serian parliamentary seat in 1969. During his time as MP, he advocated for better media coverage in Sarawak. He also played a key role in education, founding Sekolah Kebangsaan St Dominic Pichin, and served as chairman of the Sarawak Public Service Commission.
