Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim condemned unilateral actions by powerful countries, calling them arrogant displays that disregard the rights of smaller nations. Speaking during a public lecture at Moscow’s MGIMO, where he was awarded an honorary doctorate, Anwar emphasized the need for mutual respect among all nations, regardless of size or wealth. He highlighted the importance of human values in global relations, alongside trade and diplomacy. Praising Russian President Vladimir Putin for his respectful engagement, Anwar said Malaysia and Russia can build strong ties through youth exchanges, language studies, and cooperation, despite cultural differences.
