After a community cat named Shere Khan was found fatally injured in Punggol on May 12, Pasir Ris-Punggol Town Council is teaming up with NParks and animal welfare groups to raise public awareness. NParks is investigating the case as suspected animal cruelty, following another brutal cat abuse case in Yishun. The incidents have sparked renewed calls for tougher action against animal abusers.
