JPJ has launched a new, more secure Malaysian Driving Licence (LMM) card. Initially, it's only for Malaysians traveling abroad (who still need a physical license due to varying international acceptance of the MyJPJ app) and non-citizens renewing their licenses. Regular renewals will only receive a digital license. The new card's design features national landmarks and is built to resist tampering for up to 10 years. JPJ is also improving driving institutions nationwide by enhancing guidelines for new institutions, promoting eTesting, and increasing enforcement to boost integrity and quality, following issues like long waiting times and numerous instructor violations found in recent operations.
