Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim launched MaiStorage Technology Sdn Bhd, a venture by USB drive inventor Datuk Pua Khein Seng, hailing it as a significant step for Malaysia in AI and IC design. Anwar stated the launch demonstrates Malaysia's commitment to digital transformation ahead of the 46th ASEAN Summit. MaiStorage, a subsidiary of Phison Electronics, aims to position Malaysia as a leader in generative AI and the global IC design industry, a venture that includes over RM1 billion in technology transfer and was a highlight of the KL20 Summit.
