Eastern Australia is being deluged by torrential rain, causing rivers to swell, roads to disappear, and nearly 50,000 people to be stranded. A 63-year-old man was found dead in a flooded home in Moto, and authorities are conducting a major search and rescue for at least three missing people. Parts of New South Wales have received over four months of rain in just two days. Kempsey Mayor Kinnie Ring described the situation as "deafening and horrible," with over 20,000 people isolated in her area. State Premier Chris Minns warned of more bad news, attributing the increasing frequency of such natural disasters to climate change and warmer sea temperatures.
