KUALA LUMPUR — A 37-year-old man died and his 36-year-old wife was injured in a crash between a Nissan X-Trail and a Scania trailer on Jalan Muar-Jementah, Batu 16, Segamat yesterday evening.
Segamat Fire and Rescue responded to the 5.52pm emergency call, arriving at 6.17pm. The man was found trapped in the SUV and was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The 46-year-old trailer driver was unharmed.
The operation concluded by 6.55pm. Authorities are investigating the incident.
