42-year-old police corporal Mohd Fairus Khamis was seriously injured in a hit-and-run while riding his motorcycle to work near Seremban. The motorcycle lost control after being sideswiped, and the driver fled. Fairus sustained multiple injuries including fractured ribs and head trauma. In a separate Pahang incident, a 49-year-old motorcycle rider, Zakuan Lateh, died after a car driven by a female army officer lost control and crashed into him on the East Coast Expressway.
