Malaysia is partnering with global institutions, including the UK, to establish itself as ASEAN’s hub for TVET certification and training. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi highlighted efforts to attract ASEAN students and boost skilled workforce development through the Asean TVET Council. TVET enrolment reached 436,285 last year, signaling growing recognition of its value. Malaysia will also host the 4th Asean TVET Council Regional Policy Dialogue in 2025, focusing on rural development and regional growth through TVET.
