The General Operations Force (GOF) seized over RM1 million worth of smuggled Black Thorn durian saplings, rare Cycas plants, and illicit cigarettes in two separate raids in Kelantan.A 26-year-old lorry driver was arrested in Jalan Kampung Kedap with 9,000 durian saplings and nine Cycas plants, believed smuggled from Thailand and headed to Johor. The case is being investigated under the Plant Quarantine Act 1976.In a separate raid in Tanah Merah, 10,000 sticks of illicit cigarettes worth RM18,700 were seized from an abandoned house. No arrests were made. The case falls under the Customs Act 1967.GOF pledged to continue strengthening border enforcement.
