Naimah Khalid, widow of former finance minister Daim Zainuddin, will challenge the MACC's court order freezing RM758 million worth of overseas assets linked to her and her family. She claims the assets were lawfully acquired and called the order politically motivated and obtained unfairly. The Kuala Lumpur High Court approved the freeze, which includes properties and a bank account in London. Naimah accuses Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and MACC chief Azam Baki of targeting her family since 2022. She also faces charges for failing to declare assets, while charges against Daim were dropped after his death.
