JERUSALEM — The Israeli military confirmed it has found and identified the body of Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar under the emergency room of the European Hospital in Khan Yunis, Gaza.
Sinwar was reportedly killed in a May 13 airstrike. DNA and other evidence confirmed his identity. He was believed to have led Hamas's armed wing after top leaders, including his brother Yahya Sinwar, were killed earlier in the Gaza conflict.
